Fresh from their East Coast Tour, Beth and the Brave will be launching their debut single Grey Waltz Blue on Thursday 9 October at The Gasometer Hotel in Collingwood, with Khristian Mizzi & the Sirens, Sekkt, and special guests.
Beth and the Brave perform beautiful alternative folk tunes with themes of social and environmental justice. The inspiration for Grey Waltz Blue comes from Beth’s work with survivors of family violence. The song conveys a sense of the incredibly difficult journey undertaken by each survivor leading up to their decision to leave a violent relationship. It aims to spark conversation around this issue, and how each of us can play a role in decreasing its prevalence in our communities. 10% of proceeds from the night will go towards InTouch Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence (www.intouch.asn.au).
