Lawrence Arabia is the pseudonym of New Zealand singer-songwriter-producer James Milne. Since 2006, he has released three solo albums under the Arabia name including “Chant Darling,” released 2009 on Mistletone, and his most recent work, “The Sparrow,” released 2012 on Spunk. Since his last visit to Australia in 2012, he has toured Europe three times, won a New Zealand Music Award, recorded most of a new album, acted in, and co-developed, a radio comedy about explorers with an erotic fixation on plants, and had a child. Mr Arabia brings to the Gasometer his all-harmonising and terrifically talented band.
Also on the bill are Very Special Guest, Geoffrey O'Connor, whose most recent album, “Fan Fiction,” came out earlier this year on Chapter Music, and local duo Creeks, whose debut EP comes out November on Beko Disques.
