Having performed together for over 20 years with regular spots on many major festivals and extensive tours of Australia and showcases in Europe and the US, the Davidson Brothers have recently launched their seventh studio album, Wanderlust.
Known for their high powered acoustic performances and extraordinary musicianship, Wanderlust features 10 new original tracks and was recorded at Sing Sing South Studios in Melbourne by engineer Adam Rhodes (Paul Kelly, Angus & Julia Stone, The Waifs). Hamish and Lachlan Davidson show how they can nail the contemporary bluegrass sound, the album following a theme of the desire to travel and exploring new sounds drawn from recent influences.
Together with Jacob McGuffie on guitar and Louis Gill on upright bass, the award-winning Davidson Brothers will launch their first single at the Gasometer Hotel in Collingwood on Sunday 20th July. Come down and let the guys show exactly why they’ve been invited to showcase later this year at the World of Bluegrass conference in Raleigh, North Carolina taking their music back to the United States.
