Slime down to the Gasometer on Wednesday 2nd July for a most special, mesmerizing, moody & colourful night of music with Great Earthquake, Dear Plastic & BJ Morriszonkle. Great Earthquake pushes the boundaries of a 'one man band'. He utilises a number of instruments to create soundscapes, organically built up in time, with a strong emphasis on rhythm. Prepare for Illusions, trickery and zoning out with a big weird grin. Dear Plastic are a five-piece trip-hop/avant-pop band that have been making tunes packed with glitchy synths, big vocals, shimmering soundscapes and melancholia since 2012. Prepare for gnarly beats and slipping over puddles of tears with diamonds and bubble wrap in them. BJ Morriszonkle is just another of those many one man bands playing the modern and popular style of demento cartoon / carnival instrumental music, interspersed with sad melted country ballads and other music freak-outs. BJ pushes the boundaries of stupidity and terror. Prepare to die! Yep! Doors open 7:30. $10 entry. More than $399 value and better than a poke in the eye with a cucumber.
