The brilliant Ainslie Wills, performing with full band, will be teaming up with Private Life and Human Face for a massive show at The Gasometer Hotel to raise much needed funds for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre. Ainslie is currently working on album number two with her right hand man; Guitarist and co-songwriter – Lawrence Folvig. Lawrence – a master at creating evocative sonic landscapes; drawing on influences such as Boards Of Canada, Radiohead and Aphex Twin. This atop with Ainslie’s penchant for killer vocal harmonies with influences ranging from Mahalia Jackson, Jeff Buckley, Grizzly Bear, Q-Tip and beyond, makes the music a beguiling listening experience.Melbourne indie synth poppers Private Life are currently working on their 2nd EP. This time around they will be self-producing their songs, opening up the possibilities to create something unique and exciting. Human Face are putting the final touches on their debut album, due to be released early next year. Their dynamic live show is a psychedelic voyage, drawing influence from Talking Heads, Roots Manuva, Radiohead and Pink Floyd. Proceeds from the gig will go to the ASRC.
