Melbourne's Krista Polvere takes up residence at the Gasometer's Front Bar for three Tuesdays commencing on 10 November. These shows coincide with the release of the soulful Americana artist's single Shut Up and Ride from her forthcoming self-titled album. Recorded in a basement studio in Virginia USA with producer Bryan Elijah Smith the album see Polvere exposing raw, heartfelt emotion and her most sophisticated songwriting to date.
Having previously shared the stage with such luminaries as Ryan Adams, Steve Earle and Ron Sexsmith these shows provide a rare opportunity, in an intimate environment, to preview songs from the new album, and re-acquaint fans with material from Polvere's critically acclaimed earlier albums.
The summer of 2016 promises to be an exciting time for Krista before she returns in the US where her album will be released later in the year.
"She’s always impressed me as a songwriter. But the songs I’ve heard this time, I can honestly say I had no idea that she was capable of what I heard. I was shocked at how intricate it was. From what I’ve heard it’s such a powerful record. It’s going to be a real game-changer." - Ryan Adams
