The Great Barrier Reef is in danger like never before, due to climate change, pollution, development, fishing and mining. The United Nations have said that the "integrity of the Barrier Reef is at risk." And the Abbott government is continuing with plans to build a massive coal port on the reef, which would export polluting coal to the world. The size of this project is so huge, that once exported and burnt, the greenhouse gas emissions from this port alone would be equivalent to double all of Australia's emissions.
