Acid Western - single launch with Bears & Ministry of Plenty

Tickets $8 + BF from Oztix / $10 on door. Doors 8.00pm

Melbourne boys Acid Western are excited to officially launch “Oracle”, the lead single from their upcoming EP at the Gasometer on March 21st. Recorded sporadically over the course of 2014 with the help of chief-musical-equipment-and-production specialist Robert Moseley and mixing-knob-and-ear-wizard Damien Weatherley, the record follows on from 2011's self-titled EP in further exploring the band's indie rock and synth elements. Acid western have branched into more complex songwriting whilst still retaining the layered vocals, dense instrumentation and bottom-heavy drive that characterizes their sound. This will be a special and bitter-sweet gig for Acid Western, as they bid a fond farewell to bassist/cellist/keyboardist and jolly good fellow, Michael Ryan. Mike is off to Germany to pursue a career as one of the great classical cellists, and we wish all the love in the world. So come down and buy him 3 beers.
