Microwave Jenny, the alter-ego of husband and wife musical force Tessa & Brendon Boney, is set to release a brand new EP, the curiously titled ‘Microwave Jenny & The Six Song EP’, on Friday March 13. This exceptional set of new songs will be launched with a special live show at The Gasometer on Wednesday April 15th.
Tessa & Brendon relocated to London early 2014 and now spend their time between the UK and Australia. The move was an inspired one, resulting in incredible musical collaborations and adventure, the fruits of which have made their way on to ‘Microwave Jenny & The Six Song EP’.
In a short space of time, Microwave Jenny has compiled a long list of achievements. In 2011, Brendon won an APRA Professional Development Award, and he and Tessa have worked on soundtracks for Carlotta (ABC1) and the feature film based on the indigenous musical Bran Nue Dae. Their songs have featured on hit Australian television series’ Gods of Wheat Street (ABC1) and Offspring (Channel 10).
They've played live all over Australia, taking part in events such as Woodford Folk Festival, The Dreaming Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Peats Ridge Festival, Festival of the Sun, and Bluesfest in Byron Bay.
They will be supported by young songstress, Tegan Wiseman and Ben Abraham.
