Dan Warner plays the front bar of the Gasometer Hotel on Father's Day Sunday 6th September. Playing as a duo, he is joined by Dave Evans of The Band Who Knew Too Much on accordion. Dan Warner’s songwriting skills are the result of several years spent at the musical coalface. In the 90’s his band The Warner Brothers were considered a seminal act in the local alt-country scene and his duo Dan & Al also played several lengthy residencies including eight years at The Punters Club in Fitzroy.
Dan has released three solo albums including his latest “Fall Into The Sky” as well as playing in The Larrikins and presenting "Warner Corner" each Sunday afternoon on 3RRR FM. Come down to The Gas and catch Dan and Dave this Sunday in the front bar from 6.30pm. They will be playing two sets and entry is free.
‘Dan's at the top of my hero list. Tough, tender, wistful and wry, often all in the same verse…’ – TIM ROGERS.
