Liz Stringer and Suzannah Espie are happy to announce a special one off double bill as part of Collingwood Open at the Gasometer Hotel on Wednesday 3rd February.
Suzannah Espie has been casting spells over audiences across the globe since she first took to the stage with her alt-country pop band GIT in 1997. On her latest, critically acclaimed album Mother’s Not Feeling Herself Today, she continues to mine the soulful and personal side of folk and country music.
Having garnered a reputation as being one of Melbourne's most respected and critically acclaimed songwriters and performers, Liz Stringer is renowned for her generous and engaging stage demeanour and her skill as a storyteller.
“Her performance is as intense as it is personable, as profane as it is sacred”. - Mick Thomas.
In 2015 Stringer recorded her fifth studio album at Type Foundry in Portland, Oregon USA with respected engineer/producer Adam Selzer (Jolie Holland, M Ward, The Decemberists). The album is due for release in mid 2016.
