In 2015, Melbourne’s Totally Mild broke through with their critically acclaimed debut, 'Down Time', earning praise from publications around the world including Pitchfork and The Guardian and charming audiences from Australia to Europe.
Now, for their first headline show following their lauded appearance at Meredith Music Festival, the band will debut new songs from their forthcoming sophomore release due in mid-2016.
This special event follows the surprise release earlier this month of a 'mini-EP', 'Alive in Denmark', recorded on the last evening of their European tour with label mates Terrible Truths. The release features 3 tracks recorded at the show, including a touching encore in which vocalist Liz Mitchell performed solo to a raptured audience.
The band have curated a line-up of some of their favourite bands for this special appearance. With a long-awaited second album due out imminently, Jessica Says will perform her melancholic pop songs backed by a new line-up of musicians. Suss Cunts promise to charm with their naive-punk; lyrical content ranging from gently amused to really pissed off. And of course the Melbourne favourites and old friends of the band, Milk Teddy take the stage in a rare live appearance. A fresh night you don’t want to miss!
