Tram Cops with Barcelos & Scout (Upstairs)

Gold Coin on the door. Doors 7.30PM

Tram Cops are a young 5 piece band from Melbourne. Born from the ashes of the bedroom pop project Laurence, Tram Cops retain a certain lofi charm, but much like the second Death Star, they are a louder, tighter and fully operational band. They have just released their debut EP which RIPE describes as 'filled with instantly enjoyable gems' and they are stringing together a few shows around Melbourne to celebrate.

Barcelos is the collaborative output of 5 musicians and friends from Melbourne. Sprouting many years ago, the band has spent much time formulating their inimitable brand of ambient indie rock. With a vast palate of inspiration, their influences span from the intricate song writing of Grizzly Bear and Alabama Shakes, to raucous guitar bands like Delta spirit and Foals, and even pushing into the emotional realm of Gang of Youths and Jeff Buckley.

For the past year Barcelos have been busy building a reputation playing live across Melbourne with bands such as The Sand Dollars, Romeo Moon and Bears, to name just a few. Their live show is built on an emotional and energetic exhibition of their song writing and musical prowess.

In 2016, Barcelos are looking to bring their music to the masses, with a double single planned for release in late September

SCOUT is a garage pop/psych rock prince.
