Run by charity organisation OXFAM, OXJAM Australia has been described as “one unforgettable month-long party against poverty”. And on August 21st, the legendary Gasometer in Collingwood is home to one such party, showcasing some of the city’s finest local bands over the course of a beer-soaked Sunday afternoon.
Featuring a stellar line-up, consisting of Melbourne favourites The Sinking Teeth and Darts, along with emerging stars Neighbourhood Youth and Heads of Charm, this is going to be a memorable gig for a truly worthy cause. Along with the unending supply of good vibes and great tunes, proceeds from ticket sales go to aiding the fight against poverty. So come along and have a good time for a good cause.
As Hendrix famously said, “if there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through (the Melbourne) music (community)”
