To celebrate their inaugural 12” release, Ben Houghton’s ‘Beta Blocker’ EP, Momentary Records is bringing together some of Melbourne’s finest selectors for a night of full spectrum electronic music, spanning from classic disco burners & deep house jams to the heady sounds of Berlin and Detroit techno.
Featuring some of Melbourne’s best local talent including Ben Houghton (live), Pocock, Cool Room DJs, Perno Inferno, & Emelyne, the infamous band room at The Gasometer is primed and ready to host you on a journey through the sweat, tears and joy that house & techno was made for.
Headlining the night with a reworked live set, refined since playing at Dimensions Festival in 2015, Ben Houghton has been quietly gaining attention locally and abroad with his deep and driving brand of house.
Pocock is one of the brains behind killer parties Daydreams and Moon Palace. He’s got a natural knack for the dancefloor, laying down an eclectic mix that always seems to be in the right place at the right time.
Cool Room DJs will be taking things into the late shift, with an ear for heavy hitting techno and big room house tracks that have become a staple of their excellent monthly night.
Perno Inferno knows how to get things rocking with an infectious and unstoppable mix of dusty classic house tracks and all that is good and funky in the world.
Finally caving to popular demand, Emelyne steps behind the decks on warm up duties. As monthly presenter of The Blend on PBS and long-time behind the scenes go-getter, she’s got Melbourne’s music scene lined up for greatness.
