Chela, the Los Angeles-based Australian pop artist, recently returned with her magnetic new single "Bad Habit" and its accompanying incredible dance video. NPR premiered the video on First Watch, saying it "slithers and strikes like classic Shakira... 'Bad Habit' is a complex and desperate piece of pop music." Chela directed and choreographed the video herself, and its choreography is even more compelling in context with the song's lyrics: she tells NPR that was "Bad Habit" was inspired by "human error": "We are not always as virtuous as we seek to be. In this song I am calling myself out and pleading for punishment."
Chela will be playing The Gasometer in Melbourne on December 13th.
