Sleep Decade return to The Gasometer Hotel for their first live performance in more than 12 months on Wednesday April 19. Previewing songs from their long-awaited forthcoming LP 'Collapse', the band promises a night of atmospheric dream pop & distorted folk.
Joining Sleep Decade will be Brisbane singer/songwriter Tom Cooney who made his own return to the local music scene earlier this year with the sparsely beautiful song ‘Futureproof’. Taken from a forthcoming album of the same name, the song is arresting and raw - stunning in its honesty, lilting and delicate in its sound.
Jessie L. Warren will open the night’s proceedings. She is the brains behind HALFSHARK and Carry Nation and is a vocalist in projects like half/cut and Dirt Hand. Jessie writes songs about humankind (dead and alive), animal hierarchy, friendship, confusion and the ocean, where she would rather live than in Melbourne, if at all possible.
