A chance encounter with 3RRRFM on a school bus in the 80s started an ongoing love affair with the groundbreaking community radio station that has made Fee B-Squared one of the most loved and respected broadcasters in Melbourne. Almost 14 years as co-host and music producer on 3RRR’s “Breakfasters”, she has been in conversation with Kim Gordon and Neil Finn, she’s DJ’d for Spike Jonze, been a regular DJ and MC at Meredith Music Festival, she’s a member of the RocKwiz brains trust, a live music devotee and demon parallel parker. Fee currently produces and presents “Maps” on 3RRRFM Mondays 4-7pm
For her “Class of 2018”, Fee brings together 3 of her favourite acts who are no strangers to listeners of her radio show but perhaps to those who haven’t had the good fortune of catching Fee on the air of late.
In a bill shrouded with mystery that will be fully revealed in late May, Hysterical Records first ever signing, Shrimp Witch will play main support. The fabulous two-piece, Georgi Goonsack and Kim Prawn, AKA Shrimpwitch, create ferociously raw and high-energy rock and roll performances exploring the hardness and softness of the Shrimpwitch shell with uproarious banter, rock outfits and humour. Shrimpwitch’s new EP Eggs Eggs Eggs is an unrelenting force, echoing early 80s new-wave and garage punk.
More to be announced.
