Small World Experience return to Melbourne to launch their first full length offering since 1998. After a long hibernation, SWE are once again in an active phase- playing a dozen or more shows in Melbourne and Brisbane in 2014/15, and last November an Australian tour including Hobart and Adelaide to celebrate the re-issuing of their first two albums: Shelf-Life (Siltbreeze) & Too Far Gone To Sell It (LCMR).
This year Small World Experience finally make good with Soft Knocks, the long awaited follow-up to 1998's Side Projects album (Chapter Music). Soft Knocks is a wonderfully pensive collection of the kind of stick-in-your-head tunes SWE fans would be hoping for, and doesn't shy away from hinting at the years having gone by. The band have continued their DIY approach to recording for Soft Knocks though this time there's a lush touch to the lo-fi thanks to producer John Lee (Lost Animal, Free Time, Totally Mild).
