Harry Permezel is taking to the stage once again at The Gasometer Hotel to celebrate the launch of his sophomore album, Wax Man.
The LP is an intimate reflection of a twenty-something’s formative era of self discovery. The ten tracks flutter from introspective observance to guided narration on the forming and failing of relationships, uncertainties of the future, and a hopeful foresight. The warm production of the record allows these themes to become illuminated with haunting harmonies, head-bobbing hooks, clockwork percussion, sporadic flecks of synthesizer, and crooning ruminations. The lead single for the record, 'Bonehead', is described as "a sombre yet poetic offering that beams brightly with a witty, observant songwriting eye" by Clash Magazine.
You can listen to 'Bonehead' as well as preorder (vinyl/cassette/digital) the entire record here: http://hyperurl.co/WaxMan
This is Harry's first headline show for the year and joining him on the stage will be The Kuek Family Reunion, FLOSS, and Mouseatouille. You don't want to miss out on this one. Harry’s band comprises of Redwood Thatcher (as always), D’arcy Noonan, and Spencer Noonan.
'Wax Man' is out everywhere May 4, 2018, via Muscle Beach Records.
