Released through kitchen-table label Hangout Records, The Hot Springs have mixed elements of romantic poetry, country and grunge into their debut EP. Inspired by the likes of gothic-country flagships Neko Case and Grant Lee-Buffalo as well as elements of classic and Aussie rock, the EP showcases the band’s balance of lead sax (Renn Picard) and guitar (Adam Heath) with the lyrical storytelling of Knight, whose vocals have earned comparisons to Patti Smith and Chris Isaac.
With support from friends Gena Rose Bruce (& Band), and Jackson Phelan (RAThammock) The Hot Springs will launch their EP at The Gasometer Hotel on Thursday 28th of June.

Gena Rose Bruce is a lover of sad eyed, bluesy pop with a touch of twang. She writes honest songs with a bit of reverb creating that 90’s dream, West Coast sound.
Taking influence from a sea of lo fi bedroom producers, 90’s rock, jazz, country and folk, Jackson Phelan’s idiosyncratic story telling is unapologetically emotive, funny and thought provoking.
